Kerri Penrose, M.S. has been a Research Project Manager of Dr. Urvi Parikh’s Laboratory in the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases since 2011. Her work has focused on assay development to address research questions surrounding ART/microbicide/PrEP development and implementation. Kerri has over 20 years of experience in developing project design, determining and optimizing experimental methods, leading testing, conducting data analysis and preparing manuscripts for publication in molecular biology/virology based projects. Her primary focus at the University of Pittsburgh has been aimed at genotypic and phenotypic evaluation of HIV-1 drug resistance. She is eager to help you utilize the Rustbelt CFAR to address your research goals.
