Jeffrey M. Jacobson, MD, Director, is a Professor of Medicine at CWRU. He joined CWRU in 2019 and has decades of experience in clinical research with a focus on the immune pathogenesis of HIV infection, and strategies to mitigate the immunologic consequences of the viral infection, enhance immune reconstitution and improve immunologic control of viral replication. He is the PI of the NIH/DAIDS funded Case Western Reserve University HIV Clinical Trials Unit (UM1AI69501) comprised of Clinical Research Sites at CWRU, University of Cincinnati and Kampala, Uganda. He currently serves on several committees of the ACTG and is protocol chair for A5369, a randomized trial of a conserved epitope vaccine in PLWH.
